I purchased this ebook a few weeks ago and I must say it was eye opening to say the least.

I may not agree with everything he says or how he says it, there is definitely wisdom in his words.

I applied just one technique - only one - from the ebook and I earned about $500 extra in a week. It only took about 2 hours of my time and I think $250/hr is a great return.

I was lucky and got it when the price was lower, but even now it’s worth every penny of the purchase price.

I almost didn’t purchase this ebook. I’d seen the website a few times before all the buzz caught on, but I never bought it because I figured it really was just another marketing ploy to get people’s money (and it is).

I finally broke down and purchased it after I saw one of my favorite marketers recommend it and I knew it couldn’t be all bad coming from her.

Since I don’t want to take up too much room here, I’ll just leave you with a few thoughts on his website, his ebook overall, his writing style, and the content.

The Rich Jerk Website: I believe this is the first time a marketer actually took the time to make their website look nice. I even believe it was professionally designed.

He clearly has navigation and a way to contact him and a lot of resources for the site visitors. That was surprising.

It’s not a perfect website, but I’d say it’s leaps and bounds above the rest.

The Rich Jerk eBook: The ebook carries the same theme as the website and you can tell that he either hired a professional designer or took the time to focus on designing it himself.

Most ebooks are standard black text on white background, however, his ebook had images and style. But that same style was a drawback for me because I like to print my ebooks and read them in bed.

Printing this ebook would be a waste of ink. That was my only complaint with the ebook itself.

The Rich Jerk’s Writing Style: His writing style is true to form like his sales letter. It’s curt and take no prisoners. I like that.

What I didn’t particularly care for was the continued barrage of insults. I know that it should be taken with a grain of salt, but the jerk aspect should only go so far…frankly, it should have stopped after the sales letter.

The Content: Because the book was so short (45 pages), I was able to read it on the computer in one sitting. If this was a 100 page book styled the way it was, there would be no way I could read it at my computer and there would be no way I’d print it. Score one for the rich jerk.

He provides some “ah ha” content in his ebook. It’s nothing new and I’m sure you’d be able to find all the info by doing some footwork, but that’s the great thing about the ebook - he’s already done it for you and put it all there in ebook form.

He touches on some techniques I would consider spammy and black hat, and that’s what worried me the most. I personally won’t be using those techniques, but I’m sure there are some less than scrupulous people out there who will.

All in all, it was worth it, but I think it should have been cheaper - I’d say $57 would be a fair selling price for the information he provides, but I guess he has to pay his designers ;)

While I won’t say exactly how much I earned by using one of the “ah-ha, thanks for reminding me” techniques I gained from the book, I will say that I managed to earn back the cost of the ebook relatively quickly.

This book is not for everyone and luckily he has a 45 day money back guarantee.

Just wanted to note that I finished reading the Rich Jerk a few evenings ago and I must add that I too was surprised at the information I found within.

Honestly, as a lot of people are already mentioning, there isn’t anything new to seasoned marketers. However, there is a lot of information that we already knew, but seem to have forgotten over the time that we haven’t been applying it to our own websites and businesses.

It serves as a great kick in the pants for online marketers who have been too busy trying the next big thing to pay attention to the tried and true methods.

Also, the price is a lot more reasonable now (I saw that it went down so it prompted me to purchase). For the newbie, there are a lot of great ideas to get your creative juices flowing. Definitely one to have on the bookshelf.

I found that Rich jerks product was OK, but i think its really only for experts.

While I can agree with Irini, it’s only partially.

I wouldn’t recommend this ebook for a still wet behind the ears newbie, but it’s far from being “for experts only.”

I’ve only been working online for a few months and I was able to understand what he was saying in the ebook.

I’m busy applying a couple of his techniques right now to my websites and will see how much more money the book earns me.

In my opinion, the salesletter is course, yes, but the writing style of the ebook itself is easy to follow along with.

He leaves some things open-ended so we can interpret them and use our own creativity in order to earn more money.

If you’re used to a step-by-step, do this first, then this second approach — you will not like this ebook. But if you enjoy freedom to play around with ideas, then The Rich Jerk may end up surprising you.
